If you did not want to go as hard core as Aeration, why not scarify your lawn. Which a less invasive option than Aeration but does assist in weed control and rejuvenate your lawn to the lovely green lawn that we all want.
Lucky for us we live in Queensland, so with the exception of a couple of months a year, our lawns are ready for any treatment that we decide. By scarifying your lawn during its growing season you are giving it the best chance to survive the winter months a little easier.
Scarifying or raking the lawn is a long term and extremely beneficial strategy but in the short term it might not look the best. The grass will recover and with that will come the green grass that we would all love to have.
